I ran NCAA Division II with the Simon Fraser University Cross Country and Track team. After completing my undergraduate degree, I began training as a long track speed skater with the Wisconsin Speed Skating Club. I was training at the Pettit National Ice Center in the winters and on inline speed skates in the summers training for the Apostle Islands Inline Marathon and the North Shore Inline Marathon.
